The Government of Sikkim has placed Information Technology high on its agenda. The Government aims at mpowering citizens through e-governance and making Sikkim a favorite Information Technology destination. With this in mind, the Department of Information Technology, Government of Sikkim organized “SIKITEX 09”, a two day IT Fair and Exhibition on 17th and 18th September 2009 at Gangtok –Sikkim.

The broad objective of organizing this event has been to bridge the gap between the companies and the customers of all segments. ”SIKITEX 09”  provided market exposure to various companies and enabled them to set up business in Sikkim.
