Sikkim Manipal University Launches Newsletter, Setting New Communication Standards

GANGTOK, 30 April 2024: In a significant stride towards enhancing communication and fostering a sense of community within its academic fraternity, Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) unveiled its inaugural monthly newsletter today.
The newsletter was launched by AVM Dr. Dilip Chandra Agarwal (Retd), VSM, Vice Chancellor, SMU in the presence of Dr. Karma Sonam Sherpa, Registrar, SMU; Dr. Muralidhar V Pai, Dean, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS); Prof Champa Sharma, Principal, Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing (SMCON) and Dr Keerthilatha M Pai, Controller of Examination, SMU, amongst others.
The newsletter, which will be published in a digital mode, is a culmination of collaborative efforts by faculty members, staff, and students, and embodies the spirit of innovation and excellence that defines SMU.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor underscored the importance of effective communication in facilitating dialogue, disseminating information, and nurturing a sense of belonging within the university ecosystem. He emphasized that the newsletter would serve as a platform to showcase the diverse achievements, initiatives, and academic endeavours undertaken by the SMU community.
The SMU newsletter will feature updates on major news and events, research projects, and highlights of student and faculty activities and achievements. It will also provide a glimpse into the vibrant campus life at SMU, capturing moments of academic discourse, cultural festivities, and community engagement initiatives.
As SMU embarks on this new chapter of communication excellence, it is poised to set new standards in fostering engagement, collaboration, and mutual support among its stakeholders.
