DC Soreng chairs District Level Oversight Committee meeting
Soreng, May 7 (IPR): A meeting on the District Level Oversight Committee (DLOC) was held at the DAC Soreng today.
Chaired by Ms Yishey D Yongda DC cum Chairperson (DLOC), the meeting had the attendance of Zilla Panchayat member, Mr Nakul Pradhan SP, Mr Dhiraj Subedi ADC along with Officials of IT Department and NIC Soreng.
During the meeting, the DC took stock of the working conditions of CCTV cameras installed at the various Police Stations in the district, as per directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court. SP Soreng appraised about the working status of CCTVs in each of the Police Station premises and further informed that some of the CCTVs require maintenance and upgradation. It was directed by the DC that in case of malfunction of any CCTV, the SHOs may give a monthly report to SP for further forwarding to the Chairperson (DLOC).
The DC mentioned that all cases of CCTVs not being in operation have been referred to IT Department, the department in charge of implementing the same. She directed the IT personnel to regularly monitor and follow up on the status of the CCTVs and the equipment.
At the outset, ADC cum Member Secretary of DLOC gave an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the committee members to comply with the guidelines of the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
