DC-CUM-DEO GYALSHING CHAIRS A PREPARATORY MEETING FOR COUNTING OF VOTES FOR PC,SANGA AND ACs WITH DISTRICT NODAL OFFICERS FOR GENERAL ELECTION 2024.
Gyalshing, May 7 (IPR): Mr M Bharani Kumaar,IAS District Collector-cum-District Election Officer Gyalshing, chaired a preparatory meeting for counting of votes for 01/Parliamentary constituency,four Assembly constituencies viz-
01/Yuksom -Tashiding,02/Yangthang,03/ Maneybung-Dentam and 04/Gyalshing-Bernyak and 32/Sanga constituency with district Nodal officers at DAC Conference hall Gyalshing, today.
The meeting had the presence of Mr Sandeep Kumar,IAS Assistant Collector,Gangtok and was attended by Mr Surat Gurung ADC (Dev.),Ms Tirsang Tamang SDM (HQ), Mr NB Biswakarma SDM Gyalshing, Mr Bishwa B Raj Gurung Joint Director Sanchaman Limboo Degree College(SMLDC)Gyalshing, Ms KSC Tongden Lepcha SE Power Deptt,Mr Karma Sherpa JD Agriculture & Horticulture,Mr Rajesh Thapa Deputy Director(Education),Mr Pem Dorjee Bhutia Under Secretary and officials from Election department of the district.
The main objectives of the meeting was focused on Election counting preparedness for General Elections 2024 scheduled on June 2 for Sanga and Assembly constituencies and on June 4 for the lone parliamentary constituency of the state. The DC briefed the various Nodal Officers on their roles and responsibilities and urged them to discharge their functions responsibly as per assignments entrusted for Sanga,ACs and PC counting schedule.He informed that a round of training for micro observers, supervisors and assistants shall be conducted on 14-15 May,respectively.
