Minister L. N. Sharma lays the foundation stone for the Rangshang Steel Bridge West Sikkim

Gyalshing, 4th June, 2020 ( IPR):The Hon'ble Minister-cum-Area MLA of Gyalshing Bermiok constituency Shri Lok Nath Sharma laid the foundation stone of Rangshang Steel Bridge over College Khola at Rangshang Dobhan, this afternoon. The Bhumi puja was also held before laying the foundation stone.
Minister Sharma was also accompanied by the District Collector West Shri Karma R. Bonpo; Additional Chief Engineer Shri Thupden Bhutia; Additional Superintendent of Police Shri. Nahkul Pradhan; Divisional Forest Officer (T) Shri. Tenzing N. Bhutia and concerned officials.
While speaking to the media Minister Sharma expressed his gratitude to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Sikkim for sanctioning the long pending demand of the public and also extended thankfulness to the concerned Minister Incharge, District Administration and the officials of Road & Bridges Department for their consistent support to fullfill the genuine public demand.
He also anticipated that the construction of the bridge will certainly resolve the need of much awaited road connectivity between Bermiok and Gyalshing, permanently. The construction of Bridge will shorten the distance between Bermiok and Gyalshing to 29 kms. only. Further, he briefed on future roadmap to develop the vicinity as tourism hub by exploring the tourism potential extensively, thereby benefiting the local public in terms of economy and socially as well.
Thereafter, he inspected the ongoing construction of BudaNilaKantha Dham at Chandabung under Chingthang GPU. He took stock of work progress and advised for applaudable engineering works to ensure exemplary tourist destination.
