Gangtok, September 12 (IPR): A preparatory meeting regarding the 'Panchayat Sammelan', scheduled to be held from October 6th to 8th, was convened by Commissioner cum Secretary, Rural Development Department, Shri D. Anandan, in the Chamber of Secretary, Culture Department, Shri Basant Kumar Lama, here at Manan Kendra, today.
It was informed during the meeting that the Panchayat Sammelan which is scheduled to be held from 6-8 October in Gangtok will be attended by Chief Minister, Shri Prem Singh Tamang.
The meeting was attended by the Vice President, Panchayat Cell, Shri Tenzing Norbu Lamtha, HoDs and officials from various line departments.
Shri Lamtha in his brief address urged the government officials for efficient teamwork and coordination to make this event a huge success.
Shri D. Anandan provided an overview on the strategies for the programme's preparation. He highlighted the duties to be performed by the line departments.
Further,he urged each department in charge to undertake the required preparations and suggested preparing the event efficiently for its success.
Earlier, the CCS and the officials also inspected the site for the event at the premises of Manan Kendra
