Gangtok, March 5 (IPR): Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Prem Singh Tamang announced a” Baini” scheme in a function held at Sumbuk, Melli.
The scheme aims to provide free Sanitary Napkins to every girl child above class 9. The government of Sikkim will be providing free sanitary napkins in all schools of Sikkim. Keeping the significance of hygiene in mind the government has decided to come up with this scheme.
Similarly, the Hon’ble Chief Minister also announced a scheme for ‘all labour workers’ who are registered with the Labour Department, Government of Sikkim. The scheme covers Medical insurance, Medical facility and necessary Cash incentives.
