Gangtok, May 13 (IPR): Hon'ble Speaker, West Bengal Legislative Assembly, Shri Biman Banerjee, called on Hon'ble Speaker, Sikkim Legislative Assembly, Shri L.B. Das, in the State capital today. It was a courtesy call made by the West Bengal Speaker who is on a three-day visit to Sikkim along with his spouse, Smt. Nandita Bannerjee.
Upon their arrival at the SLA, the West Bengal Speaker and his spouse were cordially welcomed by Secretary, SLA, Shri Gopal Prasad Dahal, and other SLA officials.
During the meeting, Speaker, SLA, Shri L.B. Das, extended a warm welcome to the guests and presented gifts on behalf of SLA. Thereafter, the Speakers discussed and exchanged views on the current status of the Sikkim and WB Legislative Assemblies. Shri Banerjee also presented a memento to the SLA Speaker.
