On 24th May 2023 a 15-member team of 08 Tarpin GPU under Rhenock block of Pakyong district comprising of Assistant Director PRI, 4-panchayat members including its president and vice president, employees of Administrative and Account sections visited Gerethang-Labing GPU as part of their exposure tour and to comprehend on various administrative functions.
Upon their arrival at the GPK the visiting team were accorded a warm welcome by the panchayat president Smt. Sashi Luitel, Vice president Shri. Renu Hang Limboo, Panchayat Sachiva cum VAA Shri. Padam Kumar Limboo, panchayat members and staff of the GPU.
During the tour the visiting panchayats were briefed on various administrative works and success stories of the GPU through power point presentation.
It is to mention here that Labing-Gerethang GPK is one such model gram panchayat Kendra which has received various national and state accolades in the past.
During the course of interactive session held in the GPK Hall, deliberations were extensively touched upon finance management, waste management, subletting of licence and many more.The team also interacted with the gram panchayat members on various schemes implemented to improve quality of life in rural areas.
Earlier the team also visited Yuksam-Dubdi GPU as part of their two-day administrative-cum-exposure tour
