Sikkim is a State in Northeast India. It is one of the fastest growing, multiethnic and multilingual Indian state. It borders Tibet in the north and northeast, Bhutan in the east, Nepal in the west and West Bengal in the south. SIkkim is also located close to India's Siliguri corridor near Bangladesh. Sikkim is least populous and second smallest among the Indian states. Sikkim is notable for its biodiversity, including alpine and subtropical climates, as well as being a host to Kanchenjunga, the highest peak in India and third highest on Earth. Sikkim's capital and largest city is Gangtok.
This is Beta version of the new State Portal, Govt. of Sikkim. The ownership of the department level information shown on the portal lies with the respective departments. The Dept. of Information Technology does not take responsibility for any incorrect data displayed on the portal. A period of one month is provided to all departments to update department specific content on the portal after which the portal will be officially launched. Hereafter all actions pertaining to updation of department specific contents on the portal is the responsibility of the respective department. Suggestions are solicited from the citizens for the improvement of this portal which may be provided using the Feedback form available on the portal.
