Mangan, 24th March:
The 31st Board Meeting of North District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd was held today in the conference hall of North District Milk Union, Mangan.
The meeting was attended by the following:
1. Chairman: Shri Samteen Bhutia
2. Board of Directors:
(i)Smt. Sang Doma Lepcha
(ii)Shri. Pem Kumar Rai
(iii)Shri. Jas Raj Limboo
(iv)Shri. Ran Man Limboo

(ii) Dr. Dechen O. Kaleon, Addl.Director, Mangan
(iii) Shri. Vishal Tewari, Addl. Director, Dairy

The meeting started with progress report of last six months, increase of milk procurement, successful revival of dormant milk societies, opening of new milk collection societies along with extension work carried out by NDMU for dairy farmers through awareness camps, fertility camps, financial literacy camps etc.
Agenda and Discussions:
1. Consideration and approval of revisions to the procurement and selling prices of milk and milk products.
2. Discussion on audit observations of Milk Incentive Programe of ₹8/ lit.
3. Confirmation of agenda of 30th Board Meeting.
4. Grant in Aid recieved from Government of Sikkim.
4. Miscellaneous discussions regarding the Dairy Cooperative Societies, NDMU plant etc.
The meeting brought about open discussion regarding the progress along with the challenges faced by NDMU and Dairy Cooperative Societies of Mangan District leading to favourable outcome.
