1st Open Badminton Tournament 2025 reaches its third day at Jautar Stadium Soreng
Soreng, April 14 (IPR):
The 1st Open Badminton Tournament 2025 continued on its third day at Jautar Indoor Stadium, Soreng. Players and teams competed intensely to secure their place in the finals scheduled for April 15.
The tournament was attended by Mr. Jacob Khaling, Political Secretary to the Chief Minister and President of the Badminton Association of Sikkim.
Mr. Dhiraj Subedi, District Collector, participated as the chief guest, accompanied by special guest Ms. Mamita Gurung, Deputy Director (Sports), and Mr. Kumar Subba, DPO (Zilla). Their presence highlighted the event’s significance in the community.
A cash prize of ₹3,00,000 will be awarded to the winners concluding the tournament tomorrow and adding to the excitement surrounding the tournament. The event has showcased the growing enthusiasm for badminton in Sikkim and the skills of its participants.
