Mangan, January 12: The annual Gram Sabha of Lachen Dzumsa under Chungthang block was conducted at Dzumsa House, Chungthang, today. The meeting was chaired by the Pipon, Shri Sonam Gyatso Lachenpa. It also had the presence of ADC (Development), BDO (Chungthang), Block and GPU officials, representatives from Forest, Social Welfare, Education, and other line departments along with representatives of WWF, ECOSS, NGOs, and the local residents.
The meeting was held for finalizing various works to be executed under Gram Panchayat Development Fund (GPDF) for GPU/Block for the financial year 2021-2022.
The senior representatives of WWF also screened a special audio/visual presentation on tracking and cataloging of animals like snow leopard, tigers, and various other exotic mountain species within the jurisdiction of Lachen.
