Bye-Election Update: Soreng District
Soreng District Prepares for Bye-Elections
Soreng, October 20 (IPR): In accordance with the Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines, the Soreng District has established five checkpoints (Naka points) to ensure smooth operations during the upcoming General Bye-Election 2024 for the 07-Soreng Chakung AC.
Mr. Dhiraj Subedi, the District Election Officer for Soreng, has confirmed that Flying Squad Teams (FSTs), Static Surveillance Teams (SSTs), and Video Surveillance Teams (VSTs) have been actively deployed since October 16th. These dedicated teams have been diligently carrying out their duties despite challenging weather conditions.
The designated Naka points have been strategically positioned at the following locations:
1. Budhang 8-Mile Fatak
2. Budhang-Chumbung Fatak
3. Chakung Bazar
4. Soreng Darabazar
5. Barakhely Lower Singling Fatak
These measures are being taken to ensure a fair and transparent electoral process in the Soreng District.
