Chief Minister Distributes Land Ownership Documents Announces Housing Plans

Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang-Golay distributed land ownership documents (parcha) to six beneficiaries and allotment orders to 21 additional recipients under the Sikkim Sukumbasi Welfare Scheme during a ceremony held today at Bengthang Tar, Pacheykhani.
This initiative seeks to provide land ownership and security to economically disadvantaged families in Sikkim. The Chief Minister further announced that housing will be constructed for the beneficiaries under the Sikkim Garib Awas Yojna.
Additionally, as part of the Mission of Revival of Barren Land for Cultivation, seven Gram Panchayat Units (GPUs) from the Rhenock Constituency presented a variety of organic products to the Chief Minister, demonstrating their diligence and commitment to sustainable agriculture.
This initiative aims to evaluate the progress in converting unproductive land into arable land through a collaborative inter-departmental effort, thereby enhancing livelihood opportunities for local farmers and communities.
