DC Namchi Visits Adarshgaon to Evaluate Road Damage and Restoration Options

Namchi, July 14, 2024 (IPR): District Collector (DC) Namchi Ms Anupa Tamling, conducted a field visit to multiple locations around Adarshgaon today to assess the damage caused by natural calamities to the road and infrastructure in the area. The road, which is a crucial connectivity link for the local community, was severely damaged due to landslides and erosion.
The DC was accompanied by a team of officers, including Mr. Subash Ghimirey ADC Namchi (HQ), Mr. Karma Choda Bhutia, Deputy Director LR&DM, Mr Laxman Tamang CDPO (South), NHPC Authorities and other staff from line departments.
The team led by DC Namchi conducted a thorough inspection of the damaged roads in Adarshgaon area and held discussions regarding the construction of a new bridge there. They also reviewed the restoration plan for the damaged roads, including the allocation of necessary resources and timelines for completion.
Following the inspection, the DC visited the ICDS centre at Adarshgaon, where she interacted with the staff and discussed the centre's operation, including the provision of services and benefits to the beneficiaries.
