DC Namchi chairs preliminary meeting for the upcoming Independence Day celebration, 2024
Namchi, July 25 ( IPR) : A preliminary meeting for the upcoming Independence Day celebration was conducted at the Conference Hall of District Administrative Centre Namchi,today.
The meeting was chaired by Ms Anupa Tamling DC Namchi alongwith Dr T N Gyatso Sr SP Namchi, Mr Gopal K Chettri SDM (HQ) Namchi, District HoOs and Officers from Line Department.
During the meeting, The DC urged all the departments to prepare and focus for a smooth and successful celebration of the upcoming Independence Day. She discussed the list of programmes for the day and assigned the line departments their respective duties. She requested everyone to work in constant coordination and communication to make the Independence Day a remarkable one.
In addition to it, she mentioned that the schools and educational institutions are to abide by the strict practice timings assigned by the State Government without hampering the regular school routine.
Further, she expressed her gratitude towards the HoOs and their staff members in making all the programmes and events a smooth success so far in the district.
Mr TN Gyatso Sr SP, assured his full cooperation to all the line departments . He gave an insight on paying careful attention in finding any kind of problems around the vicinity of the venue and fixing it before the celebration of the event. With that he informed that safety and security of the people will be his prime focus.
Furthermore, he informed that the best contingent will be awarded a trophy along with a cash prize from his part inorder to motivate the younger generations.
Mr Gopal K Chettri SDM (HQ) gave a brief introduction about activities for the day and requested everyone to take keen participation and adhere to their work.
It may be mentioned here that this year's celebration will include events such as parades, cultural programmes and skit performances by various institution. Also, district meritorious employees who have served the government with diligence and dedication will be felicitated on the same day.
