DC Soreng Chairs Review Meeting of District Level Monitoring Committee for MOVCD-NER
Soreng, November 29 (IPR): Mr Dhiraj Subedi District Collector (Soreng), chaired a review meeting of the District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) under the scheme Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North East Region (MOVCD-NER) held at DAC Soreng, today.
The meeting was attended by Mr Pranaya Gurung Additional Director (Agriculture), Dr. Kishore Thapa Additional Director (AH&VS), Mr DP Sharma Deputy Director (Horticulture), Mr Kul Bahadur Subba Deputy Director (RDD), Mr Manish Pradhan Deputy Director (Agriculture), Mr Yowa Raj Sharma Assistant Director (Fisheries), Mr Sisir Raj Gurung Assistant Registrar (Cooperation), Mr Tsheten Tashi Lepcha Branch Manager (SBI) and other departmental representatives.
During the meeting, the DC and Chairperson (DLMC) inquired about the identified crops under the scheme, emphasizing the importance of the fourth phase. The DC further informed the house about the phase-wise progress done by the district in the MOVCD-NER. Additionally, he acknowledged the team work, informing that the district is performing good in the MOVCD-NER.
Further, he encouraged everyone involved to visit the Farmer Producers Organisations (FPOs) to gain further insight into their activities.
Mr Bijay Kumar Rai State Team Leader (Indian Grameen Services), elaborated on the key aspects of the fourth phase. He then provided a detailed overview of the district's performance with the FPOs, highlighting the three specific FPOs, Crown, Green Harvest, and Harvest Heaven of the fourth phase.
Earlier, the phase-wise achievement made by the MOVCD-NER was detailed by AD Agriculture.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the chair.
