DC Soreng Chairs the (DLCC) Meeting at DAC Soreng
Soreng, November 7 (IPR):
Mr Dhiraj Subedi DC and Chairperson of the District Level Consultative Committee (DLCC), chaired the DLCC meeting for Soreng District which was held at the conference hall of District Administrative Centre Soreng, today.
Addressing the house, the DC asked the bankers to conduct the quarterly Financial Literacy Camp (FLC) and Block Level Banker’s Committee (BLBC) meeting in their respective areas while reviewing the action plan. Stressing on the importance of FLC and BLBC meetings, the DC suggested to work alongside the panchayats and BDOs with the involvement of line departments to achieve the goals, contributing in the development of the district.
The house also suggested the use of pamphlets and the audio-visual aid to publicise the schemes and facilities to the villagers in order to avail the benefits while conducting the FLC and BLBC meetings.
The house also reviewed the achievement of banks which included Credit Deposit Ratio, Annual Credit Plan, agriculture and allied activities, MSME sector, other priority, and non-priority sector, government sponsored schemes, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Kisan Credit Card (KCC), education loan scheme and housing finance scheme.
The meeting was also attended by Mr Singh Raj Subba Zilla Panchayat Member (Singling GPU), Mr Rupen Lamichhaney AGM (NABARD, Namchi), Mr Anit Lamichhaney LDM (SBI Gangtok), Mr Subash Luyagum Manager (LDO),branch heads and representatives from various banks of Soreng district.
