DC Soreng Chairs the District Level Consultative Committee Meeting at DAC Soreng
Soreng, September 9 (IPR): The District Level Consultative Committee (DLCC) meeting for Soreng District, chaired by Mr Dhiraj Subedi District Collector Soreng and Chairperson of the DLCC was held today at the conference hall of District Administrative Centre Soreng.
The meeting reviewed various agendas of the DLCC, referring the latest data including, credit deposit ratio, annual credit plan (priority and non-priority sectors) along with agriculture and allied activities, MSME sector, other priority sector, government sponsored schemes such as Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Self Help Group (SHG), Kisan Credit Card (KCC), Housing Finance Scheme and Financial Literacy & Credit Counselling (FLCC).
The DC emphasized the importance of Financial Literacy and Credit Counselling (FLCC) during his address, wherein the bank representatives were asked to conduct the FLCC in their respective areas. He then stated that the FLCC should focus particularly on Self Help Group (SHG), MSME schemes, and Kisan Credit Card (KCC). Further, he stressed that these activities should be carried out with the public's interest. The Nodal branches were further asked to conduct Block Level Banker’s Committee (BLBC) meeting at their respective blocks.
The meeting was also attended by Mr Rupen Lamichhaney AGM (NABARD, Namchi), Mr Amarjeet Manager (RBI), Mr Anit Lamichhaney LDM (SBI Gangtok), Mr JD Bhutia LBO (SBI Gangtok), line department officers, branch heads and representatives from banks of Soreng district.
