DC Soreng flags off students tour for 15th State Athletic Meet, 2024
Soreng, April 25 (IPR): A total of 38 enthusiastic students were sent from Soreng district to participate in a three-day long event of the 15th State Athletic Meet, 2024 to be held in Gangtok. The tour of the students was flagged off by Ms Yishey D Yongda DC (Soreng) from Soreng Government Senior Secondary School playground today.
During the event, DC Soreng gave a word of motivation and extended her best wishes to all the participants. Also present at the event were Mr Lobsang Tamang JD cum President of Soreng District Olympic Association (SDOA), Mr PD Bhutia President of Soreng District Athletic Association (SDAA), Ms Mamita Gurung DD cum Technical Director, Mr Yogesh Subba General Secretary SDAA and other members of the association. Mr Subash Tamang (Government contractor) also contributed to the event by sponsoring jerseys for the participants.
It is to be informed here that the 15th State Athletic Meet 2024, organized by the Sikkim Athletic Association will be held from 26th to 28th April at Khelgaon, Reshithang, Gangtok, under 14, 16, 18 and open categories.
