The office of District Industries Centre Gyalshing conducted District Level Awareness Programme on the implemented beneficial State flagship and Central Government sponsored schemes under Commerce and Industries Department, Government of Sikkim, here at the Conference Hall of Gyalshing District Zilla Panchayat Bhawan Kyongsa, today.
Mr Dhan Singh Limboo Zilla Adhakshya Gyalshing attended as the Chief Guest and Mr Tenzing D Denzongpa District Collector Gyalshing as Guest of Honour accompanied by Mr Devendra Sharma President Gyalshing Nagar Panchayat, Mr Pulkit SDM HQ Gyalshing, Mr AD Rai General Manager District Industries Centre Gyalshing, Zilla Panchayats, Panchayats and officials of the District Industries Centre Gyalshing.
The programme imparted participants on the significance of entrepreneurship in the economic advancement of the state. Attendees were informed on the available assistance extended at the outreach facility, situated at the periphery of the District Administrative Centre Gyalshing. The programme was primarily focused on generating entrepreneur ecosystems in the district by fostering the progress of industrial development and sensitisation on functions of the facility.
Mr Ds Limboo Zilla Adhakshya Gyalshing, in his address emphasised on the appropriate dissemination of the key attributes in pertinent to flagship schemes at the grassroot level. He asserted that through such initiatives aspirants are provided with the opportunity to enhance the stature of entrepreneurship ventures in the district. He also motivated panchayats to provide assistance to the unemployed youth of the district and sensitise on the beneficial attributes of the availed facility.
District Collector Gyalshing motivated panchayats to prioritise the initiative for implementation. He advised panchayats to hold meetings at the GPU level as well as Block level to further desiminate the beneficial approach of the initiative. Such initiatives are poised to extend startup avenues in the district with the assured benefits to the aspirants, he added.
DC Gyalshing, whilst underscored the provision of 'One Family,One Entrepreneur' and motivated attendees on the crucial attribute of collaboration to enhance the economic stature of the district and state. He stressed on the appropriate utilisation of the provision under Uttar Poorva Transformative Industrialisation Scheme (UNNATI-2024) and emphasised on the efficiency in implementation. He assured all possible assistance in favour and encouraged for collective approach for the cause.
Mr AD Rai General Manager DIC Gyalshing informed on the inception of District Industries Centre in the district and underlined the provision of the schemes UNNATI and Skilled Youth Startup Scheme. He deliberated on the objectives, timeline for registration and incentives offered to the investors for setting up of new units or expanding the existing ones under the provision of the scheme. He even delved into the guidelines for claiming the incentives and urged support in favour of the optimal implementation in the district.
Mr Ivan Gurung JE sensitised the attendees on the objectives, key features, eligibility criteria, financial pattern, application process and benefits provisioned under Pradhan Mantri Employment Generation Programme scheme. He even mentioned about the successful implementation of the benefits in Dairy Farming, Piggery Farming and other relevant fields.
Mr Mohommad Kasif, representative of Sikkim INSPIRES, shared the project's provision in the district. He underlined the initiatives that had already been implemented in the district and informed the provision of 2.0 version this year. He informed that in the second phase, their priority will be allocated on revival of Handicrafts and Handloom in the district. He also outlined that aspirants will be facilitated with necessary training along with assistance to enhance their business.
