District collector north conducted an emergency meeting with all Head of Offices of the North District

As the central Government has called for a 21-day nationwide lockdown to contain the novel coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic in this context District collector, north conducted an emergency meeting with all Head of Offices of the North District here at election conference hall at 4:00 P.M.

During the meeting, DC/North, Shri Kaleon called for strict compliance of all the orders and circulars issued by the Government. Further, he informed that to ensure complete lockdown, four BDOs and one MEO, MNP of the district have been appointed as an executive magistrate.

DC spoke in detail about the various measures that the State Government has implemented to combat the spread of COVID-19 in the state as well as the district. He added that HoDs of various departments must go hand in hand to combat this virus.

DC/North, informed that in order to ease the communication district has created a “COVID-19/NORTH DISTRICT” WhatsApp group and the other hand he directed to all frontline workers to work in accordance with the instructions and guidelines that has been send through WhatsApp.

Talking on complete ban of vehicular movement DC said issuance of vehicle permit shall be granted on emergency or on any exigency of essential official services. The competent authority for the issuance of emergency vehicle shall fill up all necessary details such as purpose of journey, Time of Journey etc.

All HoDs will ensure that the minimum involvement of their staff for any official work and other staff should stay at home but they cannot leave the station and should be available on mobile phone.

DC/North said that the Sub-Divisional level Surveillance Team has a big role to play and asked all SDMs to submit the daily status report of COVID-19 to the office of the District Collector
