E-Services programme under Soreng BAC

Block Administrative Centre (BAC) Soreng launched e-services with a programme, organised by Soreng and Chumbung BACs at Rurban Complex, Soreng, today.
Mr Aditya Golay (Tamang) MLA (Soreng-Chakung Constituency) attended the programme as the chief guest and was accompanied by Zilla Panchayat members, Panchayat Presidents, Panchayat members, Mr Gaayas Pega ADC (Development), Mr Kumar Subba DPO (Zilla), Mr RK Gurung BDO (Chumbung), Mr Paru Hang Subba BDO (Soreng), Mr Amir Bhandari AD (IT), Panchayat Inspectors (RDD Department), officers, officials from various Gram Panchayat Unit and beneficiaries.
Addressing the house, the chief guest expressed his sincere gratitude while stating that Soreng is progressing gradually as a district. He then showed his deep appreciation towards the dedication and contribution of DAC (Soreng) for making the district as an e-district. Emphasising the initiative, the chief guest mentioned that the said citizen-centric e-services programme is implementing under the vision and direction of the Chief Minister, Mr Prem Singh Tamang (Golay). He then stated that the e-district programme was created to provide convenience to the general public for hassle free services through online and to reduce the burden of visiting the government offices physically.
Additionally, he touched upon few upcoming innovations and initiatives that would be undertaken by the state government in regard to health and Information Technology (IT) sectors.
In conclusion, he appealed the present to disseminate the information about the e-services among the public as well. Further, he urged all to work in coordination to make the district from aspirational district to an inspirational district.
Initially, AD (IT) gave a detailed information about e-services, informing the login portal to access the services provided on https://sso.sikkim.gov.in. Stressing on accessibility and convenience, transparency, and environmental sustainability, he emphasised the aims and objectives of the said services.
During the programme, the e-certificates were handed out to two applicants and also as part of the inauguration of Sikkim Garib Awas Yojana (SGAY), two SGAY were inaugurated by the chief guest.
Earlier, the programme commenced with the welcome note delivered by BDO (Chumbung), while the programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by BDO (Soreng).
