Final training Session for first batch on EVM under Gyalshing district
Gyalshing, April 9(IPR): The final briefing session for the first batch of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) to Polling Teams under Gyalshing district was held at the Auditorium, Government Girls Senior Secondary School Kyongsa, Gyalshing today.
The main objective of the final briefing session was to thoroughly familiarise the trainees with EVM and the documentation process during the poll day. Ms Pari Bishnoi (IAS), RO-cum-ADC Gyalshing briefed the processes involved through power point presentation and also discussed the importance of the efficiency of the officers and all involved with the election-related tasks.
The session was also led by the DIO (NIC) District Level Master Trainer-(DLMT). The trainees were briefed about the various components of EVM and procedures for material management. Electoral procedures and the responsibilities of the attendees were also revised. Thereafter, the session also had a hands-on training to familiarise the attendees with the topics covered in the training, assuring address of queries, if any.
The polling process and hands-on training were supervised by Ms KSC Tongden Lepcha District Level Master Trainer- cum- SE Power, Mr Narayan Basnet Principal Hee Yangthang Senior Secondary School cum- (ALMT) and Mr Rajesh Thapa Dupty Director-(ALMT).
