Information given by Sub Divisional Magistrate Yangang

Namchi, 12th May (IPR) : As per information given by Sub Divisional Magistrate Yangang Shri Sangay Gyatso Bhutia a total of sixteen (16) stranded labourers has been dispatched to their native state of Jharkhand from Yangang, today. The labourers belongs to Deoghar and Giridi district of Jharkhand. They were working at the under construction site of Sikkim University in Yangang.
These labourers who have been staying in Yangang since lockdown were willing to return back to their home state.
They were sent back in a bus provided by Police Training Centre Yangang till Rangpo Check Post following proper protocols of COVID-19. The arrangement for transportation was made by District Administration (South) after receiving permission from the concerned state.
From Rangpo Checkpost, these people will proceed to their respective districts in a bus arranged from their state i.e. Jharkhand so as to ensure that these people reach home safely.
It may be mentioned here that this is the first batch of labourers despatched from Yangang Subdivision via Rangpo Check Post
