Local Community Gathers for Discussion on Mega Drinking Water Project under JJM
Pakyong, 11 July (IPR): Mr LB Das, MLA West Pendam, chaired the coordination meeting held at Duga Block Administrative Centre (BAC) to discuss the Mega Drinking Water Project under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) for Central Pendam GPU, West Pendam GPU, and Budang Kameray GPU today.
The main goals of the meeting were to assess the work that has been done thus far and to promote open communication among the Zilla Panchayats, Panchayat representatives, Councillors, and department officials regarding various facets of the Mega Drinking Water Project. Strategic planning was executed during the meeting to ensure that the Mega Drinking Water Project is completed successfully, enabling the local community, and achieving the mission's goals in the procedure.
During the meeting, Mr LB Das underscored the urgency for the department and contractor to expedite their efforts efficiently towards project completion. He set a strict deadline of six months for the department to complete the project.
The event witnessed the presence of stakeholders, including Zilla Panchayat Members, the Panchayat President, along members from Central Pandam GPU, West Pendam GPU, and Budang Kameray GPU.
Also in attendance were the Rangpo Nagar Panchayat President and Councilors, DE Zilla Pakyong, BDO Duga, AE BAC Pakyong, JE BAC Pakyong, and contractors.
