Major General KS Dhatwal Briefs on North Sikkim Military Operations
Gangtok, August 8 (IPR): Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang-Golay met Major General KS Dhatwal, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 27 Mountain Division, at his official residence, Mintokgang this morning.
During the visit, Major General Dhatwal provided a comprehensive overview of the ongoing military activities in North Sikkim. He highlighted key infrastructure development initiatives along the riverside aimed at mitigating soil erosion, including the identification of critical areas and coordination with the Chief Secretary on river training efforts. He also provided an update on the status of the lakes in North Sikkim, underscoring the importance of regular monitoring to detect any changes in water levels.
Chief Minister assured the Major General of the state government's unwavering support and collaboration with the army in these vital endeavours.
