PM Launches EAB and New U-WIN Portal, CM PS Tamang Applauds Inclusive Healthcare Initiatives

Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi launched the expanded Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) in a virtual event today which was attended by Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang-Golay from Samman Bhawan.
This extended scheme now ensures healthcare coverage for all senior citizens aged 70 and above, granting them access to essential health services without income constraints.
In addition, the Prime Minister introduced the U-WIN portal, a platform aimed at strengthening immunization services nationwide. This portal includes digital innovations such as a dedicated platform for Allied Healthcare Professionals, drone-enabled health outreach from premier medical institutions, and Climate Change and Health Action Plans designed to tackle the health challenges posed by environmental changes.
As part of the event, the Prime Minister also inaugurated a series of healthcare projects across India, enhancing the nation’s healthcare infrastructure.
“These initiatives mark significant strides toward a more inclusive healthcare system in India by prioritizing the health of senior citizens and integrating digital innovations,” the Chief Minister shared.
The virtual event in the state was also attended by Health Minister, Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary and Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Principal Director cum Mission Director - National Ayush Mission, Principal Director cum Mission Director NHM and other senior officials. Health officers from across the state, including those from Head Office, district hospitals, Primary Health Centres (PHCs), and Community Health Centres (CHCs), Ayushman Arogya Mitras (AAMs) also joined the launch from their respective locations.
