PM Vishwakarma Meeting Held at DAC Gangtok

Gangtok, January 29 (IPR):
The PM Vishwakarma Yojana meeting was successfully conducted at the District Administrative Centre (DAC) Gangtok, today.
The meeting saw the participation of Additional District Magistrate Gangtok Mr Sisum Wangchuk Bhutia, Assistant Collector, Mr Sandeep Kumar, Lead Bank Manager, Joint Director Directorate of Handlooms & Handicrafts along with the representatives from various Departments.
The meeting aimed at reviewing and advancing the implementation of the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, a flagship initiative dedicated to supporting traditional artisans and craftsmen across India.
Discussions focused on streamlining beneficiary registration, ensuring seamless financial support, and enhancing skill development programmes under the scheme. Officials also addressed challenges faced by artisans in accessing scheme benefits and explored strategies for greater outreach and awareness.
The meeting concluded with actionable resolutions to strengthen the scheme’s implementation in the region, ensuring that artisans in Sikkim can fully benefit from the opportunities provided by PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
