Rangit Power Station, NHPC Limited Signs 3 MOUs with District Administration under CSR Initiative
Gyalshing,November 18(IPR):Rangit Power Station, NHPC Limited has partnered with the District Administration Gyalshing to bring significant improvements to the community through dedicated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. An MoU was signed today between Ms. Yishey D. Yongda, District Collector-cum-Magistrate, Gyalshing, and Shri Shrawan Kumar Mishra, General Manager (HOP), Rangit Power Station, NHPC Limited, formalizing the allocation of Rs. 34.00 lakhs for various developmental activities for the financial year 2024-25.
These initiatives aim to address critical areas of need in the community:
1. Provision of a Rescue Vehicle for District Child Protection Unit, Gyalshing:This vehicle will significantly enhance the unit’s ability to respond promptly to emergencies, ensuring better protection and safety for vulnerable children in the district.
2. Provision of Medical Equipment for Tashiding/Yuksom and Dentam Public Health Centres: Modern medical equipment will improve healthcare services, making essential diagnostic and treatment facilities more accessible to the local population.
3. Provision of Items for Ashirbad Girls Children Home, Dentam:Essential resources and items will be supplied to improve the living conditions and overall development of the girls at the home.
The MoU signing ceremony witnessed the presence of key district officials, including the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Additional District Collector (ADC HQ), Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM HQ), and representatives from the District Child Protection Unit.
Alongside the MoU, feasibility of motherpods project in geyzing district at prominent tourist places was discussed.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Yishey D. Yongda emphasized the importance of partnership with agencies working in the region and simultaneously, expressed gratitude to NHPC Limited for their proactive approach and support to community welfare. Sh. Shrawan Kumar Mishra reaffirmed NHPC’s commitment to uplifting the community and contributing to its holistic development through impactful CSR activities.
It is expected the current and future proposed project are going to benefit citizens and large and ensure quality citizen service delivery in all spheres.
