Sikkim State Cooperation Union (SICUN) conducts the 60th Board Meeting
Pakyong, 11 September (IPR): The 60th Board Meeting of the Sikkim State Cooperative Union ( SICUN) was conducted at Assam Lingzey today, with Dr Mangaljit Rai, Chairman of SICUN and Mr Purna Pasad Sharma, Vice Chairman of SICUN, presiding over the meeting.
Also in attendance were Mr Sandeep Kumar, IAS Assistant Collector,(Gangtok), Mr Harka Badhur Gurung, Executive Director, Executive Committee, Mr Hemant Kumar Dahal, Chairman, Training and Education Committee, Mr Bishnu Kumari Mangar, Chairman, Cooperative Department; Ms Kesang Diki Barfungpa, General Manager Sikkim Milk Union; Ms Khushbu Gurung, Joint Secretary, Planning Department; Mr Ugen Thendup Bhutia, Joint Director, IPR Department, Ms Arpana Subedi, DRCS, (Deputy Registrar cooperative society); Mr Tshering Tamang, Assistant Manager, Simfed; Mr Phadung Bhutia, CEO SICUN, and Board of Directors: Mr Chodup Lepcha, Mr Anil Kumar Nepal, Ms Tshering Doma Bhutia, Ms Kalpana Gurung, Ms Sanu Bhutia.
The meeting commenced with an examination of the action taken report of the 58th and 59th board meetings. Additionally, the agenda included seeking approval for the Bye Laws Amendment on Chapter-lll of SICUN was also discussed in detail.
The discussion also revolved around the proposal for the establishment of Multipurpose Cooperative Societies in all wards of Gram Panchayat and Nagar Panchayat Units of Sikkim. Similarly, demand for Corpus Fund from the State Government was also made in the meeting,
During the meeting, the need for the formation of SICUN's youth committee was also discussed at length with the Chairman.
Furthermore, the board members actively shared their opinions on the meeting’s agenda, encouraging a unified decision making approach.
