The Sikkim Commission for Backward Classes is deeply saddened by the demise of Shri Pahalman Subba, who along with being the first elected MP of Sikkim was also the first Sikkimese Chairperson of Sikkim Commission for Backward Classes from February 2002 to February 2005.
The Commission held a remembrance meeting in the office where the senior staff members highlighted his work and dedication towards the Commission. The Hon'ble Chairperson, Ms Pabitra Bhandari along with officers and staff offered khada to his portrait and a two-minute silence was observed.
