Soreng, July 13: On 12th July 2024 Soreng Forest Division witnessed a series of activities aimed at promoting environmental consciousness as part of the ongoing Paryavaran Parva 2024.
The event started with the pledge “Lifestyle for the environment “. The quiz competition was held on environmental topics among three schools viz, Mangashari Secondary School, Pakki Goan Secondary School, and Tharpu Senior Secondary School. The event was organised at Tharpu Senior Secondary School in the presence of DFO EnSC, Principal (TSSS) along with school staff and graduate forester (Soreng Range).
The program was of great success with the winner TSSS (1st), Mangashari secondary school (2nd), followed by Paki Gaon (3rd).
Likewise, the Arts and Quiz competition was also conducted by Forest Division Soreng
at Nayabazar Junior High School (JHS). The event aimed to promote environmental awareness and creativity among students. The competition saw enthusiastic participation from various schools, highlighting the students’ talents and their understanding of environmental issues.

3. Nayabazar Junior High School (JHS).
A quiz competition was conducted at Government Senior Secondary School
Mangalbarey to enhance the knowledge and competitive spirit of the students. The quiz covered various topics, including general knowledge, environmental science, and current affairs.
