15/7/2024, Today Government Senior Secondary School Sombaria, Soreng District – In an effort to promote child protection awareness and safety among students, Sombaria Senior Secondary School (SSS) hosted a special counselling session conducted by Mrs. Tek Maya Sharma, Protection Officer, District Child Protection Unit, Soreng, Women and Child Development Department. Mrs Sharma, known for her extensive experience and dedication to safeguarding children's rights, addressed various aspects of child protection during the session.
The initiative aims to educate students on recognizing potential risks, understanding their rights, and seeking appropriate support when needed. "We believe that educating our students about child protection is crucial in creating a safe and supportive environment", expressed the Principal, Mr.Prakash Sharma. "Mrs. Sharma's expertise has undoubtedly provided valuable insights and guidance to our students."The session included interactive discussions and practical tips on personal safety, recognizing signs of abuse, and accessing support services. It is part of Sombaria SSS's ongoing commitment to promoting the well-being and protection of students. The counselling session concluded fruitfully.
