First NHM Coordination Meeting with Hon'ble Health Minister
17/7/2024 — The first NHM Coordination Meeting with the Hon'ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare Department was held today at the Health Department's Conference Hall. The meeting was chaired by Hon'ble Health Minister Shri. G.T. Dhungel and attended by Secretary Health Mr. M. Bharani Kumar and Principal Director cum Mission Director NHM Dr. Anusha Lama, along with Directors cum State Program Officers, Addl. Directors cum SPO, Chief Accounts Officer, other officers, and staff.
The Hon'ble Health Minister was warmly welcomed by the Secretary and PDHS cum MD NHM. Dr. Anusha Lama.
The Mission Director, delivered an insightful presentation on the National Health Programmes, detailing the organogram of the programmes from the state to the block level, showcasing significant achievements, and highlighting key performance indicators. The Director cum Nodal Officer NHM provided an in-depth overview of the Human Resource under NHM, while the Chief Accounts Officer presented a comprehensive analysis of the NHM budget.
The central focus of the meeting was the thorough discussion of various National Health Mission (NHM) programs and the meticulous review of the organizational structure at the state, district, block, and sub-centre levels. The attendees engaged in productive discussions, formulating future strategies for comprehensive healthcare delivery. Emphasis was also placed on the necessity to expand Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) efforts concerning various programmes and schemes.
