MSME Schemes Awareness programme organised at Yuksom
Commerce & Industries Department, Govt. of Sikkim organised awareness programme on Funding Schemes available for MSMEs under the Department at Yuksom on 30.09.2024.
The Chief Guest of the programme was Shri D S Limboo, Hon’ble Zilla Adhakshya, Gyalzing District and attended by Panchayat Presidents and 60 aspiring MSMEs from Yuksom area. Shri M Ravikumar, Director, MSME, Deputy Secretary, C&I, Asst.Director, MSME and staff attended the programme.
Shri D S Limboo,Hon’ble Zilla Adakshya, Gyalzing District encouraged and motivated the local youths and aspiring entrepreneurs to avail the assistance available under various schemes of commerce & Industries Department. He insisted to develop multiple enterprises in Yuksom areas especially in Food processing, Bamboo & wooden crafts, thanka paintings, bakery products, adventure tourism and hospitality sector.
Director, MSME highlighted on the entrepreneurship opportunities in Sikkim and employment potential in MSME sector and made detailed presentation on funding support available under State Government Scheme “Skilled Youth Start Up Scheme” and Central Government schemes such as PMEGP, PM FME and UNNATI scheme.
He also highlighted on PM FME scheme in which 35% subsidy available for food processing business, Rs 40,000 seed capital to start small business and 100% assistance for training in food processing business.
Shri Santosh Shaw, PIU, UNNATI scheme explained that 50% subsidy, 5% interest subsidy and 100% net GST subsidy available under UNNATI scheme for the projects with investment above Rs 50.00 Lakh such as restaurants, hotels, resorts, adventure tourism park,etc
Shri Lokmanas Adhikari,SPIU,RAMP Scheme highlighted on capacity building programmes, Marketing & Branding, export promotion assistance available under RAMP Scheme. He also highlighted on PMEGP scheme in which 35% subsidy available for rural entrepreneurs and 25% subsidy for entrepreneurs from urban area.
Shri Manas kumar Das, SPMU PM Vishwakarma Scheme highlighted on 18 different trades supported for capacity building and collateral free loan under PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
Smt Bimla Chettri, Asst.Director,MSME highlighted on Skilled Youth Startup Scheme of State Government in which 35% subsidy available for local youths to set up their enterprises and 50% subsidy loan for BPL & PWD entrepreneurs.
Commerce & Industries Department taking efforts to reach to rural entrepreneurs in order to create awareness about State Government & Central Government schemes and ensure the benefits are reached to rural and women entrepreneurs.
