The Election Commission of India, vide press note bearing No.ECI/PN/150/2024, date: 15th October, 2024, has announced the schedule for Bye Elections to fill casual vacancies in State Legislative Assemblies of various States including two Assembly Constituencies of Sikkim, i.e., 07-Soreng Chakung & 11-Namchi Singhithang.
The following is the schedule for Bye Election to 07-Soreng Chakung & 11-Namchi Singhithang Assembly Constituencies of Sikkim.

7. Date before which election shall be completed 25.11.2024 (MONDAY)
With the announcement of the Bye – Election 2024 to 07-Soreng Chakung & 11-Namchi Singhithang Assembly Constituencies of Sikkim by the Election Commission of India, the Model Code of Conduct has come into force with immediate effect in the district(s) in which Assembly Constituency going for election is included.
The Model Code of Conduct shall be applicable to all candidates, political parties and the State Government concerned.
The poll will take place across 19 polling stations each of both the Assembly Constituencies.
The Chief Electoral Officer appeals all the voters of 07 –Soreng Chakung and 11-Namchi- Singithang Assembly Constituencies to check their names in the electoral roll through voters Helpline App. Or Voters Portal (Voters.eci.gov.in).
It is also informed that voters, who do not possess an EPIC card, can use alternate documents for identification in order to vote. The alternate documents that the voters can show are Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Unique Disability ID (UDID) Card, Service Identity Card, Passbook with photo by Bank /Post Office, Health Insurance Smart Card (M/o Labour), Driving License, Indian Passport, Smart Card Issued by RGI under NPR, Pension document with photograph, Official Identity Card issued to MPs/MLAs/MUs and MNREGA job Card.
