High officials of Health and Family Welfare Department of Sikkim State presented a presentation related to the work of the department and health services in the state to Hon'ble Governor Mr. Om Prakash Mathur at Rajbhavan Gangtok during this time on the implementation of health services and schemes in Sikkim State Discussion was done in detail.
The main objective of this meeting is presentation on matters related to the Health and Family Welfare Department of Sikkim State,
Details of ongoing activities/programs, information on current health infrastructure (complete and semi-complete), information about ongoing plans and programs funded by central and state govt was to provide information to the Honorable Governor about the ongoing plans and programs he expressed.
During this time, Chief Secretary, Secretary, Medical Superintendent, Ayush Mission Officers including other officials highlighted the current situation of health sector with statistics on which Hon'ble Governor gave many suggestions towards resolving issues Gone.
During this time, Hon'ble Governor expressed concern over delays in work of 30 beds under construction Sova Rigpa Hospital under Ayush Mission. He instructed the authorities that the plans that have been created are essential to continue their implementation. The Governor said, "Timely implementation of schemes like Sova Rigpa Hospital should be ensured to benefit the health services to the general public. "
In the meeting, the Governor also expressed concern over the decline in reproductive rate in the state and said it is a serious issue.
