Power Department conducted monthly review revenue meeting under the Chairmanship of Shri.Sanjit Kharel , Hon’ble Advisor to the Power Department, on 5th November 2024, at the Power Secretariat.
The meeting was attended by Shri Bikas Deokota ,Secretary (Revenue), Shri TT Bhutia, PCE (Revenue Nodal Cell), all Chief Engineers, and senior officers from the Power Department, along with all the officers from the districts.
The Hon’ble Advisor re-emphasized the importance of revenue realization and instructed all officers to prioritize revenue collection and ensure the recovery of all outstanding arrears. He specifically highlighted that frequent compliant of power supply failure of the industrial area. He directed the jurisdictions with industrial consumers to maintain a regular power supply to industries, as power supply failures in these sectors lead to significant revenue loss for the Department.
Additionally, the Hon’ble Advisor directed that training be provided to linemen engaged in the maintenance of power transmission and distribution lines. He also instructed that Junior Engineers be deputed for training before take over of the transmission and distribution lines constructed by PGCIL, ensuring a smooth transition during the taking over of the project from Power Grid.
