Governor's MG road visit: Dialogue with local public and businessman community; Took up the tea.
Today Hon'ble Governor of Sikkim Mr. Om Prakash Mathur visited the famous MG Marg of Gangtok. During this time the Honorable Governor interacted with the local people and the business community. The main objective of this tour was to meet locals and spend time with them and get informed about their routines.
In this link, the Governor also visited various shops on MG Marg and interacted with traders.
In this link, Mr. Governor had a taste of tea with MLA Mr. Diley Namgyal Barfungpa and others at Timi Tea Stall located at MG Marg.
The Governor also appreciated the cleanliness of the MG road during this time. "The cleanliness and management of the MG route is extremely effective, he said." This here reflects the municipal corporation of its local people's dedication to the environment and cleanliness. "
During this time, Gangtok constituency MLA Mr. Diley Namgyal Barfungpa, Sandeep Malu Executive Councilor Upper MG Marg Ward, locals were present.
Gangtok, November 20 (Raj Bhavan): The Hon'ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, visited MG Marg, Gangtok this evening. Upon arrival, the Hon’ble Governor was warmly received by Shri Delay Namgyal Barfungpa, MLA of Gangtok constituency, Shri Sandeep Malu, Executive Councillor of MG Marg Ward, and other local residents.
As part of his ongoing efforts to understand the needs and aspirations of the people, the Hon’ble Governor engaged with local people and businessmen community members, inquiring about the timeliness of meetings, communication, and the current tourism inflow.
During his visit, the Hon’ble Governor also visited various shops at MG Marg and interacted with the traders. Notably, he stopped at a Temi Tea stall, where he spent some time with the Hon'ble Area MLA and distinguished members of the business community while sipping the famous Sikkim Temi Tea.
While walking along MG Marg, the Hon’ble Governor expressed his appreciation for the cleanliness of the area. He stated, “The cleanliness and management of MG Marg are highly commendable. It reflects the commitment of the local Municipal Corporation and the people of this area towards maintaining a clean and green environment.”
