Proceedings:
1. Welcome Address:Delivered by Shri Pranit Gurung, Deputy Director, Agriculture Department, Mangan.
2. Presentations: Shri Padam Bdr. Gurung, Project Director ATMA, presented the annual progress report of ATMA for the financial year 2023-24.
Financial statements for the financial year 2024-25 were also presented for review.
3. Open Discussion:
o The house deliberated on planning the utilization of funds for the 1st installment of the financial year 2024-25.
o Joint Director Dr. Hissey Lepcha proposed three demonstrations in the allied sector focusing on fodder crops.
o Assistant Director, Fisheries Department, suggested one demonstration in the fisheries sector.
o Shri Bhision Pradhan, Project Coordinator, KVK Mangan, showcased several innovative technologies developed and tested at KVK, including:
▪ High-density maize planting
▪ Low tunnel greenhouse technology
▪ Ginger storage technology
4. Chairman’s Feedback:
o The Chairman emphasized the need for ATMA to work across Mangan District for the welfare of farmers.
o He highlighted the importance of conducting awareness and training programs, especially in rural areas, to ensure farmer welfare.
5. Conclusion:
o The meeting was concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Miss Yangreep Lepcha, Computer Programmer, expressing gratitude to the Chairman and participants for their contributions.
