Commerce & Industries Department Staff undergo training at ATI
Gangtok, 19 December : Under the Sikkim INSPIRES Programme, a Basic Training and Orientation Programme on Office Rules and Procedures including accounts training for the staff of Commerce & Industries Department and District Industries Centres of Gangtok, Mangan and Pakyong is being conducted at the Administrative Training Institute on the 19th and 21stof December 2024. The training lead by Shri. C.L. Sharma, Deputy Secretary, Department of Personnel aims to strengthen the department and the district offices by enhancing the skills, knowledge, and professionalism of the staff, enabling them to effectively carry out their official duties as well as efficiently implement the state and central sector schemes like SYSS, UNNATI, PMEGP and PMFME.
Commerce & Industries Department is in the process of setting up of District Industries Centres in all the district headquarters as part of the State Government’s initiative to bring assistance to entrepreneurs and businesses in every corner of the state. The DICs will provide support to businesses by providing financial assistance, marketing and branding support, skill development and capacity building initiatives and other benefits. Staff from DIC Namchi, Soreng and Gyalshing will also be trained in the coming weeks.
