Awareness and Distribution Program under PMKSY-PDMC (2024-25)
Kabi, Lungchok, December 20, 2024: The Agriculture Department, Mangan District, successfully organized a Training cum Distribution Program for Micro-Irrigation Sets under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana - Per Drop More Crop (PMKSY-PDMC), Phase-I for 2024-25. The event, held at Kabi, Lungchok, aimed to raise awareness about the scheme and distribute micro-irrigation inputs to farmers.The program was graced by Hon'ble Area MLA Shri TT Bhutia of Kabi Lungchok Constituency as the Chief Guest.

The event began with registration at 9:00 AM, followed by the arrival of the Chief Guest at 10:00 AM and the traditional offering of Khada. The welcome address was delivered by Miss Thendal Zangmu Lepcha (ADO, Kabi Block).
The Joint Director, Mr. Enchung Bhutia, elaborated on the benefits of the PMKSY scheme, while the Deputy Director, Shri Padam Bdr. Gurung, discussed the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY). The Chief Guest, Shri TT Bhutia, emphasized the government’s commitment to promoting modern agricultural practices and enhancing farmer income through such initiatives.During the program, 315 Micro-Irrigation Sets with 1000-liter water tanks were distributed to beneficiary farmers. The distribution process was efficiently managed, with tokens provided to the recipients.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dinesh Subba, MA, and the final distribution of inputs.
