The Hon'ble Shri Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ministry of Ayush & Minister of State, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, visit Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Gangtok
On December 23, 2024, the Hon'ble Shri Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ministry of Ayush & Minister of State, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, visited the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI), Gangtok.
The visit marked a significant milestone for the Institute, as the Honourable Minister inaugurated the newly upgraded Biochemistry and Pathology Laboratory of the Institute.
Following the inauguration, the Honourable Minister reviewed the Institute's ongoing projects and activities comprehensively. He later engaged in an interactive session with the officers and staff, fostering an environment of open communication and encouragement.
During the gathering, Dr. Achintya Mitra, Assistant Director In-charge of the Institute, provided an overview of RARI's key activities, highlighting its role in promoting research and integrating traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with modern science. In the address, Shri Prataprao Jadhav highlighted the crucial role of Ayush systems in India's healthcare framework, emphasizing their significance in both preventive and curative healthcare.
The Honourable Minister also underscored the remarkable achievement of the Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyan, which successfully conducted more than 1 crore Prakriti Parikshans nationwide ahead of the stipulated date.
The visit concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthening the Institute's research capabilities and promoting Ayurveda as a holistic and evidence-based system of medicine.
Shri Prataprao Jadhav's visit inspired the staff, encouraging them to continue their dedicated efforts toward advancing the Ayush systems and their benefits for the nation.
