Second District Level Committee Meeting for IEIAP (Sikkim INSPIRES) Held in Mangan
The second District Level Committee meeting for the Integrated Economic Inclusion Action Plan (IEIAP) under the Sikkim INSPIRES initiative was held today at the District Collector’s office in Mangan.
The meeting was attended by:
DC Mangan cum Chairmen, Mangan District Inspire Committee Mr Anant Jain (IAS), ADC(Dev) cum Member Secretary/District Nodal Officer Dr Sonam R Lepcha, Sr. AO D.T Bhutia, Deputy Secretary RDD Mr M B Chettri, ADs from the 24 GPUs under 4 block, Field Facilitator from the entire block, VA/VGRA, PPMS from all the GPUs, ADPC cum DPT and Panchayat Inspectors.
The session opened with a welcome address by ADC(Dev) Dr Lepcha, followed by a presentation on the IEIAP framework, objectives, and development steps. Key points included the formation of the District Planning Team (DPT) and the finalized Focus Group Discussion (FGD) calendar.
During discussions, DC Mr Jain suggested adjusting FGD venues for better accessibility and emphasized the importance of utilizing the scheme to generate livelihood. DPT Team Leader, outlined post-FGD processes, while participants were encouraged to submit feedback from each FGD cluster.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms Sonam Yanchen Lepcha, PI RDD
