Soreng, December 11:
Under the vision of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Sikkim Shri. Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) to make "Addiction free Sikkim and mentally healthy Sikkim" and under the guidance of Shri. Aditya Golay Area MLA Soreng Chakung Constituency and Shri Rohit Raj Gurung (Chief Resource Person Sarathi Organization and Hon'ble Advisor to Hon'ble Chief Minister Government of Sikkim). Second batch of students training under Soreng District on the module of SARATHI 1.0 started today, the three days long training will end on 13th January 2025. Total 28 students (2 boys, 2 girls) from following Senior Secondary Schools under Soreng District have been selected for first batch.
KB Limboo Senior Secondary School, Sribadam, Government Senior Secondary School Chota Samdung, Dow Gyasto Senior secondary school Mangalbaria, Government Senior Secondary School Gelling, Government Senior Secondary School Chakung, Government Senior Secondary School, Kamling and Government Senior Secondary School Khanisirbung.
On day one of the training following topics were covered
1. Ice breaking session conducted by Ram Chandra Regmi and Tila Rupa Chettri
2. Situation Analysis
3. Introduction to SARATHI 1.0 and SARATHI club
4.Substance misuse and mental health by Dr. Upashna Gurung ( Psychiatrist, STNM HOSPITAL Gangtok)
During the training several group works and activities were conducted.
