Soreng, February 7:
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the BBBP initiative, the Women & Child Development Department, Soreng District, organized a program on 'Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat' at the ICDS Hall.
The session was conducted by Deborah Lepcha, Program Coordinator, Child Helpline (CHL), and was attended by Anganwadi Workers (AWW) from Soreng District, ICDS staff, and officials from the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW).
The program aimed to raise awareness about the adverse effects of child marriage and the legal measures available to prevent it.
