In a significant Development, the State Bank of Sikkim was inaugurated today at Bermiok Bazar,Gyalshing District by Mr Lok Nath Sharma Area MLA-cum-Advisor WRD & PHE Department, Government of Sikkim,
Mr Sharma was accompanied by several dignitaries, including Mr DB Gurung Chairman State Bank of Sikkim, Mr Biren Chandra Rai Advisor State Bank of Sikkim, Mr Phurba Wangdi Bhutia Managing Director State Bank of Sikkim, Mr Santi Ram Karki Chief General Manager State Bank of Sikkim, and other officials from the Department.
This new branch is expected to provide banking services to the local population, promoting financial inclusion and economic growth in the region. With this inauguration, the State Bank of Sikkim reinforces its commitment to serving the people of Sikkim and contributing to the state's development.
Mr Sharma, along with officials, assured the public that the branch office of SBS will operate from the Hee-Martam BDO office, aiming to benefit the general public. This move is likely to enhance convenience and accessibility for locals.
