Government of Sikkim’s Horticulture Department Secures 1st Position for Best Product Display at India International Horti Expo 2025
The Department of Horticulture, Government of Sikkim, has been awarded 1st position for "Best Product Display" at the prestigious India International Horti Expo (IIHE) 2025, held from March 20–22 at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, Delhi-NCR.
This esteemed recognition highlights Sikkim’s commitment to sustainable horticulture, organic farming and agri-technological innovations. IIHE 2025, a premier international platform, brought together leading experts, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to showcase advancements in horticulture, floriculture, processing technologies and landscape innovations.
During the expo, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Shri Mahendra Bhatt, visited the Government of Sikkim’s Horticulture Department stall and commended Sikkim’s pioneering role in organic farming. As the world’s first fully organic state, Sikkim continues to set a global benchmark in sustainable agricultural practices. Discussions during the visit focused on future growth strategies, challenges, and the integration of eco-friendly technologies in organic farming and horticulture.
The Horticulture Display Team was led by Dr Srijana Pradhan (DDH), Dr Hemant Ghemeray (DDH), and Ms Sudeshna Kharga (HDO).
